Retaining Wall repair in Seattle, Bellevue, Everett, Tacoma; and the Greater Puget Sound Area.
How we Repair Crumbling or Failing Retaining Walls
The Problem: Your retaining wall is showing signs of failure.
Around houses, retaining walls make sloping areas usable by creating level space for gardens, driveways, terraces, and walkways.
Retaining walls are also common along roadways, parking lots, and bodies of water. They have many applications.
What is a Retaining Wall?
Retaining walls serve to retain the lateral pressure of soil. More simply, retaining walls are used to hold back soil and substrate from moving due to the effects of gravity and erosion. Retaining walls are typically designed out of concrete, stone, wood (including railroad ties), vinyl, masonry, steel, or brick.
Integral Construction, Inc. specializes in the design, engineering, and construction of all types of retaining walls. We have constructed smaller sized residential rear yard retaining walls, as well as, structurally engineered tied-back shotcrete walls for Cities, Counties, and Municipalities. Integral Construction, Inc. has developed specialized construction techniques that allow us to excel in difficult access construction projects. Our construction crew regularly thinks outside the box to produce results that save the client both time and money.

PORTABLE DRILLING RIG
ALLOWS INSTALLATION OF SOLDIER PILES WALL WHERE EQUIPMENT ACCESS IS LIMITED BECA– USE OF SMALL SIDE YARDS, LANDSCAPE WHICH WOULD BE DAMAGED, OR STEEP SLOPES THAT ARE NOT ACCESSABLE WITH TRACK MOUNTED OR CRANE MOUNTED DRILLING EQUIPMENT.
This Drilling Rig was developed by Integral Construction in 1986 while building a large residence on Perkins Lane which runs along the bluff above Puget Sound on Magnolia Hill in Seattle. We had built the Carriage house at the top of the slope with a Crane mounted drilling Rig and had barged in equipment to allow building of a seawall and the building of the residence down on the water. We installed a cable tram for the access from the top of the slope to the house. However, to keep the steep slope stable, we needed retaining walls at several locations down on the slope which were not accessible from above or below. We took a couple of months working with a structural engineer to design this new portable drilling rig which has been improved during its continued use over the years since that project. It has allowed us to build many Soldier Pile Retaining Walls on site where other equipment simple cannot go and has also allowed us to work during Wet Weather Moratoriums because of its low impact.
